For those that are surprised that the Patch Notes for Scalebreaker are already out, someone leaked older Scalebreakers Patch Notes so ZOS decided to release the correct ones a bit earlier to kill off the fuzz about it. If you want the original post check it out here.
In this article here you will only find the relevant changes, I removed some of the stuff that are just fixes and non combat related. Like always, I will have all the builds ready to roll once Scalebreaker launches, lots of testing to do on the Public Test Server!
Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v5. Our ability audit also continues in this update, with the goal of bringing abilities to be more consistent with one another and how they interact with each other. Each dungeon from Scalebreaker feature new item sets in light, medium, and heavy, including a Monster Mask. Scalebreaker features a number of new collectibles you can obtain by completing the new dungeons:. There are 4 new achievement furnishings available from the Undaunted Quartermaster based on Scalebreaker accomplishments.
Final boss kills in Lair of Maarselok or Moongrave Fane also have a chance to drop one of six new furnishing recipes, teaching you how to craft several shrines and floors from the ancient ruins scattered around Elsweyr.
These can drop at any difficulty, but are more likely to appear in Veteran Hard Mode clears of Grundwulf or Maarselok. You can now perform several actions in bulk at crafting stations and receive your items immediately! This includes refining, creation, deconstructing, and extracting, and applies to all crafting stations. Note that a multi-craft will only partially process if your inventory fills during it.
You can now place bids on up to 10 different guild traders per week for your guild. If your guild has multiple winning bids, the bid with the highest gold amount is the one awarded. If you have multiple winning bids with the same gold amount, the oldest bid placed is awarded. As of this update, Undaunted Keys are now located in the currency tab and no longer take up valuable inventory space.
You can also now spend your keys directly via a store with the three pledge masters Urgarlag Chief-bane, Glirion the Redbeard, Maj al-Ragath in a number of ways. As the game aims to give build flexibility to the player, skills are determined by several factors: Race, Class, Weapon, Guild, Alliance and World.
Players may also rank up each skill to further increase its effectiveness to a max level of 4, and in some cases morph them into new abilities. Players obtain skill points from leveling up, completing certain quests, and acquiring Skyshards from across Tamriel. Experience works differently than in other MMOs.
In this manner, it is entirely possible to rank up skills you never use, or in some cases, cannot. Ranks in the Armor skill lines are obtained via wearing at least one piece of that armor type.
It is possible to rank up all types simultaneously by wearing one piece of each type wearing more pieces of each type does increase the speed in which armor skills level. To support this system, UI has been adjusted:. These are the Passive Skills that your chosen race begins with. Some races are more aligned towards certain class types than others. Each class has 3 skills lines to choose from that specialize in different aspects of their class.
For instance the Templar class has a DPS line, buffing line and healing line. You can mix and match equipped skills from each line, but it is necessary to unlock the skills to be able to use them. Once unlocked they will remain so no matter which skills you use.
These are the skills that come paired with the weapon type you are using. You can use any weapons you wish in Elder Scrolls Online, so feel free to experiment with what you like best. Skills that depend on the type of armor you have equipped, granting you bonuses for having more of one type.
You can use any combination of armors that you wish, so get creative. Through out your travels in Tamriel, you will undoubtedly come across a guild or two that you wish to join. The Fighters GuildMage's Guild and Undaunted have their own set of skills and you can mix and match them into your arsenal as well. The Vampire and Werewolf Lines are acquired from another player at the specified ritual site or from being infected with enemies carrying Vampirism or Lycanthropy. Soul Magic is acquired from completing the introduction.
They are: Assault and Support. One can also become Emperor and gain Passive Skills of that line most of which give some benefit after your reign as Emperor is over. He or she may put points into any of the the crafting professions, but will only have enough points available to max out 2 of them. These skills points are shared with combat skill points. I'm just trying skills advisor for the first time.
It shows me an upgrade but I can't get it to work. A note appears at the bottom of the skill panel that starts "Respec to purchase …. I tried to upgrade a skill set but that note pops up on the existing skill i'm trying to upgrade. When reading through skills I see the damage as [x] or [y]. We also fixed an issue where this passive was increasing critical damage and healing less than intended. Ritual Precise Strikes : Fixed an issue where this passive was not correctly increasing the critical value of healing or abilities that did not use Physical Damage such as Vigor, or Stamina morphs of class abilities. This passive will also now properly increase healing from effects that scale off Stamina and Weapon Critical such as Rally. Casting Vigor with a staff equipped will no longer make the staff go through your legs.
This ability and its morphs will now remove you from sneak or invisibility when cast. Developer Comments: Vigor was too cheap for an area of effect healing ability, so we've increased its cost so there is more of an impact to keeping the heal over time buff active.

Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs were unintentionally proccing abilities with a ranged attack prerequisite. Adhered this ability to our AoE HoT standards. Increased the duration to 8 seconds from 5 seconds, but decreased the tick frequency to 2 seconds from 1 second.
Reduced the cost to from Echoing Vigor: This morph continues to increase the radius, but also increases the duration per rank, up to 10 seconds at rank IV, allowing for 1 additional heal tick. In these two categories there are instant heals and heal over time effects. They are cast on the ground and cover a specified area. They heal targets in that area for a specified time and a specified amount. In the case of Grand Healing, the spell lasts 3 seconds and covers a circle area with a radius of 8 meters. Most area of effect heals effect a maximum of 6 targets and if there are more targets in the area the ones with the lowest Health are prioritised.
The other type of healing, smart heals, automatically finds the lowest Health ally nearby and effects them. There are no directly targeted heals in ESO like in previous games where you have to target specific players to heal them.
These smart heals are cast instantly and automatically find the lowest Health ally which includes the caster in the abilities range. There are some forms of healing which can only effect the caster and will not effect allies. The best example is potions, which only effect the drinker of the potion of course. These kind of heals are not common as most heals will either effect the caster and allies, or will simply find the lowest Health ally in range including the caster. The strength of your heals the amount of Health a heal restores is calculated in much the same way as damage is calculated.
There are some heals which do use Stamina though, like Vigor Alliance War. The Restoration Staff is the typical weapon of choice for a player that wants to heal. It is also a common choice if you just want to access some healing spells even though you are not a designated healer.
The reason it is a great choice for healers is two-fold, first it provides access to a dedicated Skill Line of healing spells, and secondly it lets you restore Magicka after each fully charged Heavy Attack. You can also restore resources with other weapons after Heavy Attacks, but the Restoration Staff has a passive called Cycle of Life which increases the amount of Magicka restored. The Restoration Staff basically allows any player to become a healer, especially in the lower Levels.
As the game gets more difficult more abilities from other Skill Lines might be required as well. This gives Templars the opportunity to be great healers! It is possible for the other Classes to be great healers, as well, with access to the Restoration Staff Skill Line and various other healing spells throughout the other Skill Lines. What stat is more important when healing to make a 1 shot heal I mean spell damage or Max Magicka, I guess it will be the first one right?
Another question, Vigor uses Weapon Damage, but will it get increased if i wear a set that increases my physical damage Automaton set? Or it will be better to max flat weapon damage. Stamina Wardens have pretty good ranged abilities like the Cliffracer and the Subt. Assault, combined with the bow skill-line you can set off some really good ranged damage. Bow builds are still quite the under dog as they are not widely accepted due to the smaller damage output and they are harder to play.
However, with this setup you can pull off good numbers and survivability should also not be a problem. Bull Netch is the Wardens best friend, it restores a lot of Stamina, make sure to keep it up all the time. Artaeum Takeaway Brooth Food Or Dubious Camoran Throne Drink is the new buff food that we use, to gain a lot of recovery to be able to do a light attack rotation. You also want to make sure that Spears or Orbs are used by your healers to activate the synergy for resources.
I recommend being a Redguard because you will get the best sustain. You will find 3 different setups here. Setup 1 is the preferred setup. For people that do not have all the gear yet can use the Setup 2 which is easier to obtain and beginners can use Setup 3. I also elaborate on specific sets that are often used in this article to give you a bit more insight as to why they are used.
With this setup make sure to use Dubious Camoran Throne Drink to benefit greatly from the 5 piece bonus of Bone Pirate. Stormfist can be activated from range and it again increases our sustain.
This gear setup is pretty easy to get, you need to ask a guildmate to craft you Hundings Rage and Night Mothers Gaze. You can buy Agility in Guildstores, if you want really cheap pieces just buy the Healthy Trait ones, then you can actually invest all points into Stamina and you should get to a decent Health level. I also do recommend using Dubious Camoran Throne Drink with this setup to get good sustain. Make sure to share this with your friends.

The same should be applied to vigor. Proposal: Resolving vigor now scales with max stats. Echoing vigor would remain stamina scaling only. The current state of self healing in pvp is heavily imbalanced. Magicka shields have been heavily nerfed, while many stamina classes have the capability to stack both vigor and class based self healing.
Examples include warden, necro,stam dk and to a degree, stam sorc and templar. For the forum warriors who will immediately start screaming, this would allow zos to gut shields even further. I believe all heals and shields should scale from max stats whereas all offensive abilities should scale from weapon and spell damage.In Elder Scrolls Online, you advance your character by using different abilities, granted to you through different skill lines.
In order to increase your progression in a skill line, you must use those skills. Passive Skills provide a bonus all the time. Some require certain items to be equipped or Active Skills to be slotted, but otherwise you don't need to think about them. They generally have a number of upgrades available, which can be acquired by increasing your level in the relevant skill line. In most cases, this is achieved by using the Active Skills within the same skill line. In other cases, such as crafting skills, this can be achieved via crafting items or research.
Each upgrade costs an additional skill point.
Some Passive Skills do not require an investment of skill points, but are instead provided free as a result of certain situations. For example, each race gets one free passive which increases their experience gain with a given skill. The first level of each of the Crafting quality skills is free. There are free Passive Skills associated with becoming a Werewolf or Vampireas well as some provided by the keeps and resources owned by your Alliance if you take part in the Alliance War.
All current Emperors also receive some free Passive Skills. Active Skills are the ones you'll be using most in the game.
Stamina Warden Bow Build PvE DPS for Elder Scrolls Online
You can have up to five slotted in your Action Bar, by default bound to the keys. At character level 15, when you acquire Weapon Swapping, you gain an additional 5 slots for your alternate weapon. Like Passive Skills, they become available once a certain level in the skill line is reached. However, they cannot be upgraded, but rather improve through use. They have 4 Ranks, after which they may be Morphed into a new version.
You will have two Morph options, which add different effects to the skill. Morphing a skill costs an additional skill point. Once a skill is Morphed, it can increase in Rank 4 more times, but may not be Morphed again so you can't get both Morph bonuses for any skill.
Using your Active Skills will increase your overall level in the skill line, making new skills become available as you progress. Ultimate Skills are similar to Active Skills, but instead of using Stamina or Magicka as most Active Skills do, these use a third resource called Ultimate.
Ultimate builds over time as you fight, and with one exception completely depletes when you perform an Ultimate Skill. No skill line has more than one Ultimate Skill, if it has one at all. Like Active Skills, they become available after a certain level in the skill line, raise in Ranks, and can be Morphed into new skills after Rank IV.
You may only have one Ultimate Skill slotted at a time two if you have Weapon Swapping after reaching level By default it is bound to the 'R' key.
